Kchi Wiikwedong Anishinaabe History Project

Anishinaabe history, language, and teachings come to life in a regional signage project coordinated by Dr. Emily Modrall and the Traverse Area Historical Society in collaboration with Anishinaabe community members. One of the first signs—Mnaadendimowin (Respect)—is installed just outside the Munnecke Room. Join Dr. Modrall for a special presentation on this initiative, which honors the Anishinaabek as a vital part of our shared present and future.
